THE END2002The School building was in a very poor state of repair after many years of neglect, with only part of the premises being available for public use. There were debates as to its future, with counter proposals to refurbish, or to demolish and replace, being discussed. March 2006The school is now in the process of being demolished. Most of the roof has gone and the builders are dismantling the brickwork. Hopefully they will save the terracotta to be used elsewhere in Heywood.     |
